Fabric of Freedom
Fabric of Freedom
18W x 29H

My husband, Armand Frocillo, proudly served in the Army and considered it a privilege to be an American. He was deeply saddened by the events of 9-11. This piece is not only a tribute to those who lost their lives, it also helped me work through my grief following his death. Bits of his service memorabilia are embedded in the ephemera.

Hand dyed and commercial fabric, raw edged applique, variegated and solid thread, ephemera including his service buttons and pieces of his discharge papers, domestic machine sewn
